New Episode Every Week

I was inspired to start this book club because I became a reader of books that inspired and motivated me. And I couldn't wait to share my ah-ha moments with my crew. What I realized is everyone doesn't have time to read the entire book, so I read them and you get the benefit of getting the keynotes to inspire, motivate and challenge you.

About Me

Meet Sade Hill

I'm The Sade' Hill, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida; graduated from Florida A & M University (FAMU). I love a good story and adventure.

I've always been an off and on reader of fiction books. My favorite genre is murder mystery and drama books.  I would have sprints of reading a bunch of them back to back; then stop.  Life would get super busy being a mom, wife, Realtor, friend, and etc. But I always found my way back to reading. Reading is an opportunity to play a movie in my mind; to create. That is why the book is always better than the movie.

Fast forward to the year of 2020 I was presented with a challenge program that required me to read 10 pages of a self-help book among other things. I never was a fan of self-help books. But I wanted to challenge myself. The first book I read was "Fear Is My Homeboy; Author Judi Holler.  This book completely changed my perspective of fear. The book catapulted my love for self-help books. I had so many ah-ha moments I wanted to share them with friends. I start my first book club among my 9 friends; I've known them for over 25 years. Most of them purchased the books, but only one showed up to the first meeting via zoom. I thought well that's not going to work.

I set on the idea of the book club for a while. Then I was listening to a podcast one day and the idea came to mind; I'll start a podcast. This is more than a podcast. It’s an opportunity to connect and grow with like-minded women who desire to be challenged and supported while growing into greatness.

Journal to "The Crew"

Not too long ago I struggled with fear of failure. Then I started reading books surrounding fear, obstacles, challenges, and mindset. I’ve realized it takes failure with continuous practice to get better.

Accepting that I must move forward to fail; to go upwards. The scariest thing about failing for me was the embarrassment of myself, not others. I did not want the accountability that it was my fault; something I believed in failed. That resulted in me doing things that I know I would guarantee achievement; challenge me and not too much.

Once I accepted my failing forward was the key to moving upward into the life I deserved. I decided every day; I will rather fail fast forward; then to stay still to be safe and stuck.

Don’t let the fear of failing keep you from a life you deserve.

Think on this; what are you staying stuck in to play it safe?
